People, new and old, please introduce yourselves

I realised that we need an introduction thread for the same reason the old introduction thread was started. Partly to let newbies introduce themselves to us but also to introduce us 'oldies' to new people. The questions are unashamedly ripped from Garner's original thread.
    • 1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?
    • 2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    • 3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?
    • 4) Have you seen any Discworld movies, did you like them and do you have faith in future productions being good, better or worse than current ones?
(note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
    • 5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
    • 6) what's your personal quote of the day?
Edited to add the question Mal suggested
  2. Mynona Member

1 Mynona is the Swedish word for annonymous backwards.

    2 Female

3I'm currently 22 years old and I live just outside of Gothemburg, Sweden.

4 After seening H2G2 I'm not sure that if they make a move it'll totally suck. They can make it suck just partially. I'd go and see it, anyways.

5 I saw a cool cover in the shop one day, three hours later I'd read Mort. Haven't been able to stop since.

    6 Emil: "1½+½+1 equals 4"

Edited because Mal suggested we'd add a question.

    • 1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

      My real name switched around.
    • 2) Male or Female?
      Male
    • 3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

fair to middling (35), England - North East
    • 4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

I've always said no to this, but Lord of the Rings seemed pretty good, so I'm not sure any more...
    • 5) how, or by who, were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

Badgered constantly by friend into submission.
    • 6) what's your personal quote of the day?

"If at first you don't succeed, it's probably not worth bothering with." :)
    edit: to add male.
  4. Maljonic Administrator

We could add male or female to this, there's been a lot of confusion with that in the past? :)
  5. fairyliquid New Member

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

Its that stuff you wash stuff up with, I saw it and said 'why not'.

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)

    female

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

16, live in singapore originally scottish

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

no, just no. Movies are completely different to books. When linked, people tend to see the film before the book becasue film takes less time and then when (or if) they read the books, the experience has changed for them because someone has already forced them to see the characters in a certain way.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

first book was the wee free men. Lots of little blue people wearing kilts...the scot was instantly dragged in.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?

on the other hand...you have different fingers
  6. Roman_K New Member

So, who am I, who am I? Why you ask, oh why, oh why?

    1. My real name is the basis for the screen name. My first name is Roman, and my last name begins with a K, ergo the name. An interesting fact is that the name 'Roman', in my case, is in fact an elabourate masquerade. I was named after my uncle, who was originally named Reuven, but had to change his name because the Soviet Republic was not a nice place to be Jewish in.

    2. Male.

    3. I'm currently 20, and reside in Lod, Israel. Israel is a good place. Lod isn't.

    4. Maybe. Then again, after the H2G2 movie, maybe not.

    5. Found the one good Hebrew translation of Pratchett, this being The Colour of Magic. The company in question only published this one book, with a rather horrible cover, and the rights were later sold to another company who used Kirby's covers, but knew shit-all about translation.

I am now a frequent client on Amazon, though.

    6. "Racial Holy War is so damn lame it even makes the white race look like shit." by Sartin, I think. The quote will make more sense once I post my newest topic.
  7. fudgecake New Member

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

My dad has a fridge magnet which he keeps on the filing cabinet in his office which says "fatten up your friends - it'll make you look thinner!" and it's got a little penguin saying "More fudgecake?". It was the first thing my eye landed on when I chose my screenname... could have been worse, I could have been "Jazzy patterned curtains." And fudgecake is yummy.

    2) Are you male or female?

    Female.

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

I'm nearly 16 (September 27th) and I live in North Yorkshire.

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

 Yes, I believe it can be done. They managed Lord of the Rings alright. I think if a lot of work was put in and you had a really, REALLY good special effects team, it could be great! :D

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

My parents have all the books and they bought me the audio tape of Diggers to listen to when I was about 8. (I think... my memory ain't what it used to be in't good old days, like. ;)) then I started reading the Nome Trilogy, and then The Amazing Maurice and the Wee Free Men. Then I started the actual Discworld series. So, yay! :D

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?

The one I've been TRYING to get into my signature, but it keeps not working... "I only hope my heartfelt thanks will keep you warm as you spend the next ten years in FROZEN CARBONITE!!" ~ Stewie Griffin, Family Guy

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

It felt right, at the time.

    2) Male or Female?

    Can't you see the name?

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

15, "the good old youthful years". Whoever told you that, must be old. Midlands

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

Hard, but LOTR and HHGTTG worked out alright.

    5) how, or by who, were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

A mate thrusted Mort into my hands after I had said that TP sucked. Maybe he doesn't now.. *hangs head in shame*

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?

"When life gives you lemons, throw them at people you dont like and hope it gets them in thier eyes" -Anon-

Is it a bit too late to add another question? "Who is your fave author apart from TP and why?" I think it'll make it a but more informative. :D
  9. fudgecake New Member

EEE hee hee hee!!!  Wow! I like that one!

As for that last question, my favourite author apart from TP is probably David Eddings. He isn't a patch on Tezzer though. :D

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

I was reading "The Truth" at the time

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

Only if we get Peter Jackson hooked. Oh, and get the idiots who said that "Mort" would be better without Death shot first.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

I had read LOTR, The Silmarillion and the Harry Potter books and I was looking for something else, when in the book column of a comic magazine I saw the newest translation of "Sourcery" spoken highly of.

I didn't fancy the first five books much (the only ones translated into greek, mind), but "The Fifth Elephant" made me a huge fan and I have been a huge fan ever since.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?

I like driving to Isaac Hayes
  11. drunkymonkey New Member

well, I like, and drunk monkeys are just the best, I thought screw grammar and came up with drunkymonkey.

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    Male, I think.

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?
    15, Newcastle England

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
Could be good, it would have to be British though.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
Heard about Discworld, thought it my kind of humour, read The Bromeliad Trilogy, loved it, read The Reaper Man, winzzor.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?
I know not what weapons World War 3 will be fought with, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones.

    1) Amalgamation of first part of first and last name. (My mind goes completely blank when asked to do something imaginative)

    2) Female

    3) 35, Sandwich, Kent

    4) Possible, just as long as you keep the holywood types away from it. I'd love to see one.

    5) Can't actually remember. Probably looked at in the library or bookshop somewhere around the time equal rites was published. I have a tendency to flick through interesting books to see what they're like.

    6) Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a dragon.
  13. Hermia New Member

I have lurked on the old board, but this looks fun so I'm a-joining!

    1. I thought up 4 nicknames, rolled a die, got a different one and decided I wanted this one anyway. I am usually known as Rani Drummond (or Donna to those of you who know me), but I felt like a change so I named myself after Hermes, the Winged Messenger.

EDIT: Just discovered Hermes is a member here - now I feel unoriginal and potentially confusing! :(

    2. Female, mostly. It's a sliding scale, you know.

    3. 23, Hastings, England.

    4. I'm sure it's possible, it just needs to be very well made. However, they probably shouldn't try cos a bad one would be tragic.

    5. My mum decided (can't remember why) that we should read discworld books together. So we did.

    6. Be nice to other people; they outnumber you 5.5 billion to one.

The author question: that's a hard one. I don't tend to follow an author, I just try to find time to read random good books. And, probably unlike a lot of people here, I'm not usually a fan of sci-fi or fantasy. I do like such inspirational cheese as Starhawk and Paulo Coehlo.
  14. Tephlon Active Member

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?
Tephlon used to be my Tag/Grafitti name. It's very individual and because of the weird spelling easy to search for... :)

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    Male, last time I checked.
(Can we add something to this like: "Optional response, if you don't feel like answering this question, don't."?)

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?
31, Portugal, born and raised in the Netherlands though.

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
    Yes.
Lord of the Rings/Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas showed that it is possible to make a faithfull adaptation of a book. Terry would have to be very deeply involved though. Peter Jackson or Terry Gilliam would have to direct. If Spielberg, George Lucas or James Cameron so much as look at the script they should be tazered. [bzzzzzzt]

    5) Who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
Read good omens, then a colleague lent me Mort.

    6) What's your personal quote of the day?
    See signature.

    7) Who's your favorite author (F/M) besides Pratchett
Douglas Adams, although Carl Hiaasen makes me smile too.

    Edit: Stray code
  15. colonesque10 New Member

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

I remember the word from The 5th Elephant I think. The 10 came in because someone else had already stolen Colonesque on the old board, and I like continuity.

    2) Male or Female?
    Male

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

26 (just), Runcorn in the North West

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

I'd say i'm probably 50/50 on whether they should try to make a film, i'd see it but it may spoil some of the image in my head, and boy those images are already spoiled.

    5) how, or by who, were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

A friend of mine had it in school one day and the cover got me.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?

"If you want a biscuit, then you must be fat"
    :)

all questions are optional. frankly, i'd rather we NOT have the gender question in there, but hell.
  17. Hex New Member

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?
--At the time of joining the old boards, I was in the middle of reading Hogfather, and Hex made me laugh. I like the idea of a machine being more intelligent than a bunch of wizards, and I hope I can match that intelligence!

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    --Female

    3) what age category and geographic location do you fall into?
--17 (but not for much longer), and I live in Nebraska (as of three weeks ago), and before that London. Originally from the US. If you can figure that out, you deserve a cookie.

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
--I'm skeptical, since most movie adaptations suck, but I have been given hope after LOTR was a success. And hey, I would go to see it anyway, even if only just to say how crap it was.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
--I read The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents about three or so years ago for the Carnegie medal nominations, and after that I hunted down the rest of the books in libraries and stores, and have been hooked ever since!

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?
--"If it weren't for Jesus, the 12 apostles probably would have killed each other!" -- The priest at the local church, just a small section of today's sermon.

    2) Male or Female?

    3) 40, formerly from the US, now living in northern England, sharing a flat with Maljonic (who is my husband)

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

It's possible if you remember that in general, no movie is as good as the book it is based on, and you judge it in relation to other movies, not in relation to the Discworld books.

    5) how, or by who, were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

I picked up Wyrd Sisters at a small bookshop in Brooklyn when I was looking for something to read.
  19. Hsing Moderator

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

Its a translation/mutilation (Japanese to Chinese) of my real middle name. My middle name is Hoshi-wa, and the same script sign would, if red in Chinese, be Hsing-wa. I've been using it for ages.

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    female

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?
28 years, living in NorthWest Germany.

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

Well... in my perfect Dreamland, where LOTR turned out to be quite right (except for the soppy last 30 minutes of part three), it might be possible.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

A god friend of mine gave me the Watch books to read a few years ago. By now, I am more an expert than her, but we still discuss each new book.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?
...er - I'll keep this for another day, I just don't find anything this time.

    Hm...

Thanks for the invitation. I'm shocked anyone remembered me, it's been so long since I visited the old board. Not because I was annoyed by trolls or anything; it seems you can get a pretty good idea how well my social life is going by how often I visit message boards.

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

It's one of my dog's name, and sort of a pun based on my actual name.

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)

Female - my real name is Stephanie.

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

I'm only as old as I feel (you have to keep telling yourself that once you reach a certain age). Anyway, if my avatar works you can see my picture and guess for yourself. I live in the Kansas City area; the picture was taken in Borneo (meet Annenberg).

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

    Not at all.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

I was in a bookstore and saw one of those little cards they sometimes put up: if you like Douglas Adams you may also like Terry Pratchett (inter alia). I started at "The Colour of Magic" but it was "The Light Fantastic" that hooked me; I'd rarely read anything so funny.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?

I reject your reality, and sustitute my own.

    Hello again everybody,

    2. M or F?--My wife said I'm a male.

    3. Age and location?-- 37 (ouch) and live in central WA, USA

    4. Could a movie be good and faithful to the books?--Yes. Yes. I can't wait until they finally do it! (I was really hoping someone would slip up, and mention casting. :D I'll keep waiting)

    5. How did I get turned on to TP? I was cruising an allnite bookstore at midnite and they announced a trivia question over the PA (Q:Who was Marion Morrison? --A: John Wayne) The prize box had a copy of 5th elephant. Hooked instantly.

    6. Quote of the day?-- "I'm so excited. Tonite I think I'll brush ALL my teeth."

    2. I'm female

    3. I'm 20 and live in Victoria in Australia

    4. I think a good discworld movie could be made, but it would have to be done by the right people who wanted to do justice to the books, and that probably wouldn't happen.

    5. I first saw the cartoon series of Wyrd Sisters and Soul Music, then one day i was in the bookshop and discovered that those cartoons were based on actual books

    6. I like this one, which i learned from my friend who is a fan of Firefly:
"We shall take over this land, and we shall call it... .. this land."

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

Shamelessly (mostly) copied from the old Board, because I'm far too lazy at this time of the morning.
    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?

It was a toss-up between "Agnes Nitt" (felt an affinity while re-reading Carpe Jugulum and wished I listened to my "Perdita" more) or "Freya". Since I adore Fridays, have a very imperious cat and am known for the occasional Valkyrie moment, "Freya" won out.

    2) Male or Female?

    Female

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

LoTR made me think yes. HG2G makes me think "Hell No"

    5) how, or by who, were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

Many moons ago, a couple of friends let me borrow their copy of “Mort” and insisted that I read it. The rest is history and I thank them for it .....and for a couple of the Discworld books. I would return them but the late fees would bankrupt me!

Male, I guess. But nowadays no ohne can tell for sure.

I'm 23 now, 'but it won't be for long', live in Kiev(for those who are not from Europe, it's near Moscow :) ), Ukraine.

I am a 33 year old male correctional officer from Iowa, USA. I don't think Discworld could be done correctly -- but I didn't feel Lord of the Rings could either. My chosen name comes from Terry Brooks' Shannara series. Galaphile was the first of the druids. I was turned on to Discworld by an old friend who thought I'd like it.

It's the name of an old roleplaying character who was one of my favourites. I used it the first time I had to register a username online, since I couldn't think of anything else, and I've used it ever since.

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    Female.

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?
I'm 23 until this October, living in Hastings, UK (Hi, Donna!), with Garner, to whom I am married.

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
Films and books are totally different media, and a book translated into film is never going to be the same. I would go to see a Discworld film if it were made, and expect it to be a decent film (providing Pterry had significant input in making it), but it would never compare to the books for me. In all likelihood, the film would suck though.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
Read TCOM and LF graphic novels when I was 13, then read the first novels up to Sourcery, which was far as our school library went. When I was 17, I found G!G!, read all the Watch books and continued from there.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?
I'm not tense, just very, very alert.

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?
I couldn't get "tread", the name I wanted on the old board. Sampanna is my real name, and for the sake of continuity, carried on here.

    2) Are you male or female? (Asking because there has been quite of lot of confusion over this, on and off.)
    Male

    3) what age category and geographic location do you fall into?
    26, currently Duluth - Minnesota

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
It'll suck. I'll still watch it, but it will suck!

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
    Friend loaned me "Wyrd Sisters"

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?
And what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events, may in fact, be the first steps of a journey.

    1) what formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?
It's my name, backwards. On the old boards, I had my real name. But that felt weird, so now I've switched.

    2) Are you male or female?
    Male.

    3) What age category and geographic location do you fall into?
Sixteen, and the east coast of the United States.

    4) do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)
Book to movie adaptations can usually not compare with the actual book. I'd go see it anyway, but probably not like it.

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?
Someone my dad worked with lent him Eric, and I read it and liked it. I went on to devour most of the Discworld novels.

    6) what's your personal quote of the day?
EDIT: I found one. "Wow, that was almost a disaster."

    1) What formed the motivational impetus for your chosen screenname?
At the time I chose it because it felt it described who I was pretty accurately. Now I think it reeks of bad teenage poetry, but I have gotten so used to it that I don't mind.

    2) Are you male or female?
    Male.

    3) What age category and geographic location do you fall into?
17, living in the middle of the Netherlands.

It could be done. Unprobable, but possible.

    5) Who or how were you turned on to discworld/Pratchett?
A friend of the family got me Jingo for my birthday and I haven't looked back since.

    6) What's your personal quote of the day?
My expression of the day comes from the Great God and Founding Father Garner, although he insists it was a throw-away line: "Cool beans, this looks like the bunny."

Or, the way I personally prefer it: "Gekoelde bonen, dit ziet er uit als het konijn."

    1) What formed the motevational impetus for you chosen screen name?
When I joined the old boards I just used part of my name all one word/lower case, because I didn't trust myself to remember a made up name( I didn't know my computer was going to offer to remember it for me, wasn't that sweet of it?) That got to be too confusing because my mom had to be original and I married into a probably Irish family, so I added the capitals. My first name rhymes with camera and my last name rhymes with cough.

    2) Are you male or female?
    female

    3) What age category and geographical location do you fall in?
45, towards the midddle of Minnesota, USA.

    4) Do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (Note this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. I have a loaded rifle and am not afraid to use it.)
I think one COULD be done, but it would be a miracle if it didn't suck. Some movies based on books have captured the essence of the books without translating every little detail, but some times they just miss all the stuff that made the book good. Discworld books are so filled with details that a movie maker would be hard pressed to include even half of the stuff, and would probably leave out the half I liked best.

    5) Who or how were you turned on to Discworld/Pratchett?
Back in 1990 or 88,89, I read a library book I enjoyed immensely(Equal Rites). I moved away from that library and while I remembered Granny Weatherwax and the great A'tuin, I did not remember Terry Pratchett. Winter 2004, I bought a new Myth tm paperback by Robert Asprin, with a long author's note about why he hadn't had a new book out in a while and about his favorite authors. They included J.K.Rowling and a fellow named Pratchett who had a bunch of books about Discworld, eventually I realized what Discworld was and went looking for them at my new library, I found Carpe Jugulum in the MYSTERY section! and a couple of other ones. I started requesting them from other libraries and finally this year I decided to buy them all since Harper/Collins had been good enough to reissue them here in the States, that meant I got Good Omens for free and if the Last Hero is reissued I still have credit to help pay for it! Or maybe I'll settle for getting Going Postal.

I think its possible, but it would have very divided reviews by fans (H2G2 is like that) Definitely would have to be a british cast, etc. Maybe a pet project by someone stinking rich who'd give Pterry free reign over production....I know, keep dreaming. But it was such a nice dream...

    Male.

    3) what age catagory and geographic location do you fall into?

    4) Do you have good faith that a discworld movie COULD be done well enough not to suck? (note, this in no way shape or form asks about casting choices you'd like to see. i have a loaded rifle and i'm not afraid to use it.)

NO. If feel there is just too much in the books to enable it to be captured on the screen. Classic example I feel is Harry Potter movies. Every time I think about watching one of the movies again I realise I would much prefer to read the books as they left so much out of the movies. I don't want this to happen to any TP novel. Besides which one would you start with??

    5) who or how were you turned on to discworld/pratchett?

I believe I may have borrowed TLF and CoM from my highschool library and really enjoyed it. I know I owned my first copy a few years later when "Santa Claus" gave me Guards Guards as a christmas present. That santa can sure find some good gifts :)

Hello everyone. I'm new to the forums here, so I don't know if I was supposed to fill out the little survey thing or not.

    1) I got my name when I was finishing middle school in Ohio. I looked like a particular game character then, and the name's stuck ever since.

    2) Female.

    3) 16 (17 on the eighth of September) and Central Texas.

    4) XD Luckily I HAVE no casting prefrences. But yes, I do belive a Discworld movie could be made to the point where it wouldn't suck. I'd like to see one, actually. :)

    5) Don't hate me... When I was in Germany, a family friend of ours had the first Discworld game on the Playstation. I became addicted to it due to the humor and characters, later found out it was a book series, and became hooked through that.

    6) I don't have one today- I haven't spoken to anyone. XD

EDIT: Yikes, I made a big typo. o.o; I meant to say "no casting prefrences"...not to. XD
