OK so I got the last season of Stargate on DVD and have just finished it. On the package it says that this is the last season ever and after I watched the last episode I'm left a little disaffected. You just can't leave a show like that!!! it was such a tease and didn't resolve anything. So after 10 years i'm left going boo hoo and a desire to try my hand at some soft slash fiction to sort the whole thing out... and I have no talent for fiction writing so the fact that i have these thoughts indicates my emotional turmoil at this conclusion. I was just wondering if anyone else had see it and had any feelings on the matter?
Fear not, there's at least 2 direct to dvd movies coming out with the cast of SG-1. The first (The Ark of Truth) is supposed to conclude the Ori storyline, the second (Continuum) is going to be more one-off (I believe). They're coming out sometime in 2008.
I was more disappointed with the ending of Stargate than I was with the ending of JAG. Both led me to throw something in the general direction of the TV and shout.
Serenity, after I made my post I did do some internet searches to see if that was really it. I found those two things but as neither of them are coming out until next year I'm going to be with mazekin on this one and chuck things at the tele...
Meh, our Richard's doing a MacGyver on us, again... :sad: But still, nothing could be as disappointing as the end of John Doe.
Well I don't have as much money as Elvis and shoot the tele because I don't like the end. So I'll just have to resign myself to the less destructive option of chucking.
