Choices, choices

  1. Katcal I Aten't French !

So as I may have mentioned before, this year, if everything goes ok, I'm hoping to finish the second year of my English degree at the university across the car park (literally, the car park for my block of flats is right next to the gate to the university grounds). I'm only going to have one set of exams, at the end of the year, so I don't have to go to all the lessons, but some of them I will need to go to (the pronunciation classes and basic vocab, I think I can skip from time to time...) especially the Civilisation classes (i.e. History, politics, geography, society...). This year, I have to make a choice, and I have no idea what to choose. We have to do UK and US Civ. but the third one is an option : Canadian, Australian or Carribean Civilisation ?

Actually, just typing that out and imagining your response gives me an answer : Carribean, it must contain more pirates. (although the period studied may not include pirates, I guess...)

I'd go for Australian, I think it would be interesting, as the youngest of the three.

I think the Caribbean would be very interesting, it ties in with the histories of a lot of other places too. I know everywhere does, but the Caribbean was a hub for all kinds of shenanigans.

I second this, and while it does not have as many pirates as the Caribbean it does have convicts and bush rangers such as the body armour wearing* Ned Kelly.

*Complete with trash can like helmet; unfortunatly he forgot to protect his legs.

Edit: added "the body armour wearing".
