Not as good as the picture above me but I'm ok with that...

Never underestimate your own ability with a camera, or are you being sneaky here and going for the sympathy vote? :D

With the varied tastes of the pictorial gourmets here, you'll find 'you can never please anyone at anytime' or something along those lines...

Welcome to the boards, and best of luck. Also, considering we're all curious squid (Jingo) pay a visit to the Introduction Thread and introduce yourself fully.
  5. Katcal I Aten't French !

Um, Joc, Lyia has been here for a while, y'know ;) She just doesn't talk much *cough* unlike some of us...
  6. Joculator The 'Old' Fool

Oh bugger! First social faux pas for a long time. I'm surprised I didn't check the members list when I didn't recognize the name.

Never mind. Apologies to Lyia for the mistake, but this is her first post I've seen since I came back after my long break last year.

    And to Kat...
    ... you're beginning to talk like Ba ;) :D
  7. Katcal I Aten't French !

No, Ba speaks in the third person singular. We are third person plural. Therefore we are better than Ba. **runs and hides somewhere under a suitable rock**

    LOL
Definitely not going for the sympathy vote. I calls them as I sees them. I don’t have the internet at my apartment (insert gasps here) so I don’t get online a lot. I don’t even have a laptop, so ‘borrowing’ the internet is out. I hope someday I’ll be able to join the ranks of the chatty ones. (sigh) For now I have to settle for my little cameo appearances.
    Your picture is really beautiful.

Amazing pics you guys. I have actually gotten around to buying a new camera so now I have no excuses.
  11. Katcal I Aten't French !

Meh, surely there is nothing water-related in Iceland worth taking a picture of? :D
  12. Katcal I Aten't French !

Oh well, after much umming and ahing about, here is mine...

As we have all pictures handy on one site, can we just vote in this thread this time around, please?
A voting thread would be very much a copy of this one.

    I vote:

Don't forget Lyia has a link to her photograph too. Although sometimes it does not show up for some reason.

I like the leaves as reference to the depth of the water and it shows the movement.

Damn Damn Damn, I'm too late to submit. And I spent all day lying on a sunlounger on wednesday staring at the sea being bathed in glorious sunlight waiting for the right moment to come by...rats!

    Oh well, in that case:

    Maljonic: 1
    Katcal:1

    Lyia: 1

I have a thing for landscapes, and Katcal's is pretty cool...
  19. Katcal I Aten't French !

Meh, you're only saying that 'cos it's an Irish landscape :D True, it is pretty cool but the photo hardly does it justice as it was taken through a grubby train window on my daily commute ride... The tracks go straight across two great wide tidal estuaries, always full of birds and absolutely breathtaking if the sunrise/set is at all interesting and you're riding along in a train with nothing but water on either side. If you take away the sweaty commuters, it is a lovely thing.

But enough said, I'm voting for Mal's, I love the lighting and the movement.

I'm such a tard, I voted before checking the last post. Thank the Gods for the edit button.
Joculator, I noticed that too, either I messed up or my computer is once again screwing with me. I blame the computer. Perhaps my computer is training to become a magician. BTW, how can you not vote for yourself. I showed your photo you five of my friends and they loved it.

Okay, sorry for the delay - I'd say it's decided!

    Joculator, it's your turn!

    Congratulations!
