By the gods, I'm turning into my namesake from Going Postal... I stumbled on to these pictures on a Russian site and rather than try and copy the link, I put them into an album. What you will actually see is the work of a Russian glass worker (I think), but the scale is phenomenal. For example... Henry VIII and his six wives, in glass, in the eye of a needle. I'm one of those people who never looks at the time anything is posted, or the date, for that matter....hence the occurrence of zombie threads from the days of yore. Thise creations really are something else. Amazing!
Thanks for the link Kat, that's solved the mystery of who, what, when etc. The online translator I used only managed a few words... glass (sand?)... shaping (carving?)... Vladimir somebody as creator? Looks like someone else was trying to claim the credit. I stand edificated
