First Best Friend Ba promises that this is nothing more than a heartwarming video about a boy and his dog. There are no monsters. The dog does not contract rabies. There is no "shock" ending or scary voice that happens partway through as some sort of juvenile prank. Go ahead, click. "It'll be okay. It'll be okay..."
I'm always wary of Japanese videos... They start off normal, but then they always go a little bit wierd. That one was tame, and yes, touching.
Joc, I need to borrow your hanky. Ok, it's a sign of how warped my mind has become, that even after Ba's solemn promise that there was nothing hinky about that video, I still expected something like a van coming out of nowhere...
No, no, they're not supposed to be thankful! They're supposed to be tearful wrecks cursing the very day they met Ba! Curse him, dammit!
It was a beautiful video but it lead me to another featuring a pig that was feeding tiger cubs while the tiger mother was feeding baby pigs,go figure.
Oh don't worry, Ba, that's our normal state anyway, this video merely brought a little light relief before we plunged back down into depression, making it seem all that much worse. Feeling better now? :bunny:
This weekend I found out my folks old dog died, Snickers was about the same age(10) as my dog and they were great friends. He was also about the happiest dog I ever knew, I have no idea what breeds went into making him but he was gentle and scary to those who didn't notice his wise amber eyes were warm and loving, rather then fierce. My sister in law and my great nephew found him in the woods behind the rice shed where he'd been busy burying bones a couple days before. My brother used a skid steer loader to bury him near where he'd passed away, then my sister-in-law made a cross for the grave and she and Connor picked some flowers for Snickers and put the cross and the flowers on his grave. Later Connor kept asking if they should check on Snickers, finally they went back and Jeannette asked Connor if she should say a prayer, Connor wasn't too sure about that but the prayer was said and he asked if he could go by the grave, he crouched down, patted the earth, and asked Snickers if he was alright, then turned to his grandma and great grandma and smiled and said Snickers told him he was okay! He is three, but he probably will be needing this lesson soon enough and I'm glad he's learned that it is okay.
Ah Tamyra I am such a sucker for a sad, dog story. Thanks for sharing the story, and picture, of Snickers. R.
