So, we tried to go see the Terra Cotta Army today. Caught the first train up to London, and got there about two hours after they sold out of tickets. Not gonna have another chance at it before the exhibition closes. Teh sadness.
Crap. And they were brilliant too! (not that you need me to tell you, especially after you traveled that long without getting to see them...but they were fantastic...seriously...)
You could just by lots of garden gnomes and line them up in your yard... I'm sure it'll be the same effect.
If it's any comfort, they don't actually come to life and act like lemmings which is seriously a lot more of a disappointment than waiting outside for hours and not getting in.
I remember seeing the Terra Cotta army (or at least a small amount of it) in the Market Street gallery in Edinburgh years ago (their first visit to the UK I think) - they were pretty cool. Didn't see any armor with controls on the wrist though ... R.
You weren't looking hard enough Randywine. It was the one at the back. Beside the one with the butterfly on it's nose.
