I need the film lovers among you as an inspiration source. A friend of mine is organizing a series of events for his uni department. It is his job to find about a douzen of movies which he could show under the motto "Work, modern working life"... I am sure the British film industry produced a few suitable movies during the last 20 years (they shouldn't be older than that). But they can hardly revert to showing all Ken Loach films, can they? Do any of you have ideas/ suggestions?
There's this short film, I think it's called "Cubicle", Living At Work - My Rewind Video Sharing Network
Hellraiser Friday the 13th Halloween Eyes Without a Face Texas Chainsaw Massacre The Shining Granted, some people may have different ideas about a normal workplace...
The office in that (or its occupants) is/are so dysfunctional that it could almost be included in Ba's list!
Reg suggested Dancer in the Dark on a rather darker note... Also, work is a very wide subject, after all, Beverly hills cop and Police Academy about work in the police forces, and so on... But I'm guessing that work was intended to mean the rather more mainstream world of offices and factories...
If you are going with Police, you have to use Hot Fuzz. Funniest film i've seen in years. Not as good but The Pacifier could also be included. I totally agree with Clerks and would also add Clerks 2, Snoochie Boochies!!!
