One of our national radio stations, Today FM, were talking about this last week & decided to do their own verson for charity. This week they started with something small, like a ruler (can't remember what it was exactly), and had people text in to barter an item for the ruler. The best offer was taken and swopped for the ruler. They continued on like that for a few hours & eventually ended up with the use of a holiday home in Kerry for a week. I think this holiday home prize was then given to some charity to auction off.
