Roman Kalik (1:41:38 PM): There are some levels of geekdom that are best left unexplored. garnrag (1:42:10 PM): yeah... but i think we can all safely breathe freer knowing that you're one of the sacrificial virgins to the dark volcano god of geekdom. garnrag (1:42:19 PM): well, when i say 'we can all', i mean 'everyone but you'
Garner says (12:20 PM): hey roman, you wanna hear a funny joke? Roman K says (12:21 PM): Sure, go ahead. Garner says (12:21 PM): Fallout 3 message board discussions Roman K says (12:23 PM): That's it? No example or anything? Garner says (12:23 PM): *headdesks* Garner says (12:23 PM): you really have no concept of 'humor', do you? Roman K says (12:25 PM): *points to Radio Yerevan jokes* Roman K says (12:25 PM): That's funny. Garner says (12:25 PM): yeah, see, that's really just supporting my previous statement. Roman K says (12:26 PM): *sniff* Brad liked them. Garner says (12:27 PM): diggin yer own grave man. diggin yer own grave Roman K says (12:28 PM): *you* liked the one I sent you, about criticizing the American president. Garner says (12:28 PM): i was probably just being polite. Garner says (12:29 PM): anyway, making me laugh at jokes about our presidents is like making a really easy thing be accomplished by doing something that always accomplishes it every time Roman K says (12:29 PM): *cries* Garner says (12:29 PM): there there. just think of this as that first painful step towards healing. now, if you're feeling strong enough, perhaps we could have a talk about harassing all your friends with inceasant political discussion?
Oh yeah, that reminds me... **changes MSN screen name to "no politics please I'm British"... as if I ever have time to login to msn... *sigh* Oh, hang on, I do, I'm out of work, aren't I... *sigh again*
I like them! They remind me of the Old Country...ahhh, the old seditious anecdotes desguised as harmless non-seditious racism !
That was in response to: Garner says (12:20 PM): hey roman, you wanna hear a funny joke? Roman K says (12:21 PM): Sure, go ahead. Garner says (12:21 PM): Fallout 3 message board discussions
Fallout 3 is a computer game, and I think we all know how Garner loves Gamer message boards. There are probably finer points of humour inside this comment, but being a girl, I don't get them either.
pretty much. they are supposedly populated by the fan community, yet all the fan community does is screams bloody murder at how the upcoming fallout 3 game is going to suck major ass because it's not fallout 1 or 2. my comments were, in fact, based off an older joke of mine: Me: Wanna hear a joke? Someone else: Okay. Me: World War II Italian frontline infantry.
Yeah, so I was half right. It's not that I don't find it funny because I'm a girl, it's because I'm not a Garner.
I don't think its being a Garner but rather being Clay Garner that makes it funny. I'm pretty sure Grace would sit there blankly too until the joke was explained and then still shrug and possibly say 'meh'. Although I'm unsure if Grace says 'meh', she might say 'That is not funny' but who's to know?
Yes, I realised that after I posted it, I was thinking of Garner the screen name rather than Garner as a surname. Like a Doors or a Rinso. But with real facial hair.
grace said 'heh; what's their problem anyway?' or something like that. you can tell grace said it by the usage of complicated punctuation.
Yes I can see how that would be off-putting when trying to talk to someone and they insist on including the punctuation in what they say...
