Just thought I'd announce this rather than wait for you to discover it on the front page: http://www.terrypratchettbooks.org/article150.html And say thanks to the author, Stuart Crawford, for letting me publish it here too. This is my favourite snippet: [quote:06303f7c6e]Since I wasn't in the papers [in the '80s], people didn't know what I looked like; I remember turning up at one mall signing by myself, walking up to the front of the huge queue, and being stopped by a member of staff and told to go to the end. So I did, and started signing for the last guy. Oh, how we laughed.[/quote:06303f7c6e]
GGRRRRRR!! Why does'nt terry EVER come to SA? There is quite a large fan base here and you can NEVER get a TPratchett book if you are to slow to the bookstore. He would get a warm welcome. There must be people here who are desprate fo him to visit, i'm sure.
Great interview! I hadn't realized that he was catching flak about Harry Potter and so called "attacks". When people ask for advise on what to read, now that they have finished all of the HP novels, I always take them to Pratchett.
