But no, it's just the whole thing : the sheep's expression, the lighting, contrast, colour, and... well, the subtitle did count, I guess, but still, even without it, the pic rocks. I loved Mal's for the movement, Plaid's for the symbol, Sunna's for the... sun ? :biggrin: (could maybe have been a teensy bit more contrasted, but still, great) Ben's for the weirdness (was it sitting on your windscreen ?) and Chris's fighting foxes (shame they were so far away). Stercus is a bunny murderer and therefore loses all cute points that a pic of a bunny would usually give him. And man, that is a lot of cute points.
The shutter speed isn't that great, the crane fly was actually stuck on a spider's web on my work window. If you look closely you can see a couple of other blobs of dirt stuck to the web. Which reminds me that I have a picture of the spider I need to upload... I haven't decided which pic to vote for yet, I shall return to my pondering.

It's actually quite difficult because cameras naturally capture moments whatever you take a picture of, but I think Plaid's does much more in telling a little story about a moment, we all know what has just happened moments ago from the shot without actually seeing it. I like the lines and art of the picture too.

If you took a picture of a Monk in robes 50 years ago, or 100 years ago (if we had colour photos back then) they would all stay the same. But the phone pinpoints it to a particular moment in time due to the short-lived nature of modern mobile phones. Nerds 20 years in the future would probably be able to tell you exactly when the darned thing was released, and when they stopped making them. It was a close run thing for me between Katkal's and Sunna's. Sunna's is just so pretty...

I the end I went for Sunna, it's the picture that effects me the most. Their is something almost glorious about it. Plaid, as always impressed me, her pictures always seem simple and quirky, they always seem to tell a story. Katcal's was amazing, almost commerical- I mean that is a compliment- I could picture it being on a bill board. I also like Mal's a lot. -
