'They must have witches here'said Magrat. 'Everywhere has witches, youve got to have witches abroad. You find witches everywhere.'

    can i add a few?

"Emberella," thought Magrat. "I'm fairy godmothering a girl who sounds like
something you put up in the rain."
    -- (Terry Pratchett, Witches Abroad)

Greebo's technique was unscientific and wouldn't have stood a chance
against any decent swordmanship, but on his side was the fact that
it is almost impossible to develop decent swordmanship when you seem
to have run into a food mixer that is biting your ear off.

    Actually it's I aten't dead and I still aten't dead...

my fav is from Thud! though when Death has a near-Vimes experience and Vimes asks him what happens now and Death reply's something like I don't know about you but I brought a book:)

My favourite was the "Running of the Bulls" thingy in Witches Abroad. ;) And Greebo is the BEST in Carpe Jugulum. :D

'I can't be having this this' or 'I don't hold with that sort of stuff.' are probably my favorites.

One of the funniest quotes and, I think, one with the longest build up in any of Terry's books has to be the 3 chapter preparation for Vimes statement to Otto Chriek about his "Prints of Darkness" in the Truth.

Certainly a great piece of humour with a massivet "Aaaaagh Factor"

    I still like
    "it's against the lore."
I think that was the phrase that hooked me completetly even tho I giggled all the way through Colour of
    and granny had heard that
    "silk came from caterpillars bottoms"
    and there's more always more.

I used to be, years ago, really fond of a little bit where Death is being harassed or nagged by a woman and tries to get rid of here by saying something like, "LEAVE THIS PLACE UPON THE INSTANT." but I can't remember where it was or the exact words, could be Reaper Man, or Mort...?

fave quote from Witches abroad, "Vampires have risen from the dead, the grave and the crypt but have never managed it from the cat" that realy made me laugh. :)

Death's "death of the mind" dialogue in The Light Fantastic was awesome.

Mine is "we're on a mission from glod" in soul music or some of the ecksian sayings in the last continent

Mort was the first discworld book i read and one bit has stuck in my mind. My favourite quote:
"The air took on a thick, greasy feel and the deep shadows around mort became edged with blue and purple rainbows. The rider strode towards him, black cloak billowing and feet making little clicking sounds on the cobbles....The impressive effect was rather spoilt by a patch of ice.
    "OH BUGGER"
